5 more Healthy Perks to Drinking Coffee

Perk #10: Coffee May Detour Certain Cancers

Because of the polyphenols and antioxidant phytochemicals present coffee (demonstrating anti-carcinogenic properties which aid in reducing inflammation), there is research provided by the Harvard School of Public Health that suggests that men who drink coffee may be at a lower risk of developing aggressive prostate cancer and in further studies showing that drinking 4 or more cups of coffee decreased the risk of endometrial cancer in women by 25% compared to women who only drank 1 cup a day. There is research also showing lower risks of developing cancer in the colon, liver, rectal and breast cancers.

Perk #11: Lower A Risk of Developing Type 2 Diabetes

Scientists believe that coffee may be beneficial in keeping diabetes at a stand still. How? Well there is research that shows some evidence that coffee decreases the sensitivity of muscle cells to the effects of insulin, which might impair the metabolism of sugar and raise blood sugar levels. Coffee helps the body use insulin and protecting insulin-producing cells, enabling effective regulation of blood sugar as well as ward off inflammation (a risk factor for type 2 diabetes) and prevent tissue damage. A component of coffee known as caffeic acid has been identified as a significant toxic reducer of abnormal protein deposits (amyloid fibrils) found in people who have type 2 diabetes.

Perk #12: Enhance Exercise Performance

Were you aware that coffee can help with fatigue aiding in your stamina? I have always been told to avoid caffeinated drinks especially prior to a workout because they dehydrate however, there is research that shows if you drink up to 5 cups a day (500 mg) of coffee it does not interfere with your exercise workout. As a matter of fact it reduces your perception of “pain” during your exercise routine increasing fatty acids in the blood (which supports endurance) and strengthens muscle contraction.

Perk #13: Burns Fat

Which brings me to this next perk...Ever notice caffeine listed in most fat burning supplements? Well caffeine is a stimulant to the nervous system which raises metabolism and increases the oxidation of fatty acids (as we learned in perk #12). Since it raises our metabolic rate, it helps to keep fatty acids away from fat tissues

Perk #14: Depression Deterrent

Multiple studies have linked coffee drinking to lower rates of depression in both men and women who were heavy drinkers of coffee having the lowest risk of depression. It is known that caffeine activates neurotransmitters that control mood, including dopamine and serotonin.

Don’t ‘Perk’ Too Much

Caffeine can affect every person differently causing irritability, nervousness or anxiety in high doses. It can also impact sleep patterns and quality causing insomnia as well as raising blood pressure levels in those with hypertension. Two to three eight-ounce cups per day is considered moderate; heavy coffee drinkers consume four cups or more daily. Remember, the amount of caffeine per coffee beverage varies depending upon the preparation and style of beverage. Eight ounces of brewed coffee may contain as little as 80 to as much as 200 mg of caffeine per cup (an “average” cup probably contains about 100 mg). And as with all scientific study, they are all subject to bias so interpret these findings with caution.

Quick Facts
  1. It takes about six hours for the effects of caffeine to wear off
  2. Drink coffee early in the day
  3. Decaf coffee contains about 2 to 12 mg of caffeine per eight ounces
  4. Taper your coffee consumption gradually and avoid quitting coffee cold turkey which can lead to caffeine withdrawal symptoms that may include severe headaches, muscle aches and fatigue which can last for days.
  5. Basic black coffee is the healthiest coffee to drink

Another 5 Healthy Perks to Drinking Coffee

Let’s trot around the globe today discovering research and studies provided by scientists and doctors about the healthy perks that drinking coffee does for our bodies.

Perk #5: Coffee is a healthy Perk For Your Heart

A study by Dutch scientists suggest there is some evidence that coffee may support heart health. They analyzed data from 37,000+ people over a period of 13 years that shows people who drank anywhere between two to four cups daily had a 20% lower risk of heart disease as of those who drank coffee every now and then and those who didn’t drink coffee at all. This study showed a protection against arterial damage caused by inflammation. How about warding off stroke? Well a study published by the Journal of the American Heart Association stated that drinking a cup a day could ward off stroke and a Swedish researcher found that women who drank one to two cups of coffee a day were 25% less likely to have a stroke than women who drank less than a cup of coffee a day.

Perk #6: Memory Booster

I’m sure these results may have different effects on many different people, but the findings noted by researchers are very hopeful when it comes to boosting our memory. About a dose of 100 milligrams (mg) of caffeine, one cup of coffee, appears to give a boost to our memory. These Austrian researchers found a surge in brain activity, measured by functional magnetic resonance imagery (fMRI), as they performed a memory task.

Perk #7: Protects Against Dementia and Alzheimer’s

A Finnish study found that drinking three to five cups of coffee daily at midlife was associated with a 65 percent decreased risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia in later life. This is in addition to providing a temporary boost in brain activity and memory. Their study pointed out that coffee may help prevent or protect against cognitive decline as well as preventing the buildup of beta-amyloid plaque. This could be contributing to the bringing on and the progression of Alzheimer’s.

Perk #8: It Loves Our Liver

Scientists found an opposite effect relationship between coffee drinking and blood levels of liver enzymes. Hmmm? Coffee consumption has been linked to a lower incidence of cirrhosis, especially alcoholic cirrhosis. A study in the Archives of Internal Medicine demonstrated an opposite effect between increased coffee consumption and a decreased risk of cirrhosis. That’s right, a 20% reduction for each cup consumed; up to 4 cups. The more coffee people drank, the lower their levels of enzymes.

Perk #9: Gout Buster

An American Nurses’ Study reported that coffee antioxidant properties may decrease the risk of gout by decreasing insulin that in turn lowers the acidic levels of uric, which in high concentrations can cause gout. By drinking coffee regularly (long-term consumption), it decreases the risk of gout by 40-60%.

4 Healthy Perks to Drinking Coffee

I’m not sure if you have the same experience, but there is nothing like the sweet smell of fresh coffee brewing! Even before I take my first sip, I can already feel my senses getting excited with anticipation. Were you aware that coffee may do more for your health than trigger euphoric feelings? YES! This ‘daily perk’ has the ability to ward off diseases and boost your health. Of course with most things, not everything is good for everybody, but let’s discover a few ways of what makes coffee a healthy drink.

Perk #1: It’s Great For Your Skin

When you drink coffee BLACK, it has a vasodilator. This dilates the blood vessels, relaxing and opening up the blood vessels making the blood flow without having the heart have to work any harder. The vasodilator does two things: it helps lower blood pressure and it neutralizes dark circles under your eyes. Drinking coffee black may help you ward off some of the most diagnosed form of skin cancer too.

Perk #2: It’s Full of Antioxidants

Just like Green tea, coffee has antioxidant activity and more than cocoa too. As a primary dietary source of chlorogenic acid, found primarily in coffee, helps prevent cardiovascular disease. Antioxidants helps keep us healthy at the micro-level by protecting our cells from damage.
antioxidants, scientists have identified approximately 1,000 antioxidants in unprocessed coffee beans, and hundreds more develop during the roasting process. Also,

Perk #3: It has Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Caffeine, known as the skin tighter, helps ward off chronic inflammation that can lead to certain diseases such as diabetes and acne. The anti-inflammatory properties in coffee leaves you with clearer skin.

Perk #4: It may help you strengthen your muscles and your DNA

A study in the journal Cell Metabolism found that caffeine actually had a similar effect to our DNA molecules in our muscles as exercise. It looked specifically at DNA changes of muscles in sedentary individuals and found that positive effects from coffee were similar to effects derived from exercise. The most interesting factor in the study was the fact that these positive changes were seen rather quickly. This doesn’t mean that you don’t need exercise, it just pointed out that DNA changes of muscles in sedentary individuals and found that positive effects from coffee were similar to effects derived from exercise.

Now, don’t take all this ‘perkiness’ too far. While there are many reasons why coffee is a good drink, the health impacts of coffee have long been controversial. Keep coffee consumption to a minimal 3-4 cups a day and the less you doctor it up the better (sugar and creamer). Overall, scientific evidence brings a ‘full cup’ of good news for coffee lovers and those looking to ward off certain disease.

How Do You Sustain 'Positivity' In Your Business

Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions. – Albert Einstein

Most don’t realize how much work and effort goes into running and sustaining a business. It takes a lot of brain power, thoughtful consideration and endurance. You have to not only have the mindset to run a business but also be able to visualize the beginnings of one and what you want to get out of one! In order to keep order in your mind, you must train your thoughts to remain positive and that’s where positive affirmations can help.

A Valuable Ingredient

Some may say that the business world is a dank and dark place with no feelings or emotions. Some may even believe that applying affirmations into your daily business tool box is a waste of time. Well let’s explore this a bit...Businesses don’t exist in a vacuum! We may all have a business or two, but we don’t run them or build them all the same. It is essential to use whatever you can to maintain your business the best ways possible. What we all want at the end of the day are real results and I believe we are all ready to do whatever we can to make that happen.

Positive affirmations and positive thinking tools can help develop a powerful and positive business and personal life which is an essential element to ultimate success and longevity. With the power of positive thought, can turn failure into winning, a No into a Yes, and a just barely surviving business into a thriving business. Positive Thought is the fuel for your success.

Here are a few positive affirmations that you can declare right now over your business:

  • This business was built to solve problems in people’s lives and I have succeeded in my design.
  •  Today I am shifting into being a force of nature and a positive force for those to be lead by.
 Visualize

In order for your affirmations to activate, you must speak them, allow your mind to see what you are affirming everyday, and then make movement toward that affirmation. You have the power to create whatever you want so set your intentions on a goal you’ve been wanting to attain with the use of affirmations.

Video is a great medium for inspiration. Here’s a video of Yolanda Adam’s single “I Gotta Believe” that is a great example of stirring up inspiration.

Pictures are also a great form of inspiration and it’s a tool you can use to train your brain. Our brains have no concept of time in the sense that if we focus on certain pictures over and over again, our brains take in that picture as our right now truth. Use vision boards to create a visual ‘vision’ of what you want.

Writing down what you are affirming is also a great way to inspire yourself. Alongside the video and vision boards, may I suggest affirmation cards. team Pure Intent has some designer business affirmation cards for you that you can use to write down daily goals that need affirming. We want to see you succeed in everything you put your mind on so try them and let us know how it’s going!

Are you aware that having a positive attitude is contagious! Maintaining a positive state of mind attracts the right people into your business and strengthens your existing relationships with your customers. Also, a positive mindset creates balance in all aspects of your business and your life that will make work less stressful and where there is balance, there is power! Try positive affirmations this week!

Positive Thinking: What does NO really mean to a professional?

In other articles I’ve written about the 87%-13% statistic, which represents what society polls as the norm for what lots of people’s attitudes are in life. The first number 87 is supposed to represent the negative vibrations that people feel or act upon and the 13 is the number that’s positive in their life. So I ask you, when you wake up in the morning do you purposely look to have a miserable and distasteful day? Do you eat the bagel of misery and drink the coffee or tea of drag the next person down? I would venture to say NO! Why because you want your day to start off smooth, fun smooth and end smooth. OK I know what you’re thinking, better said than done right, but it sounds good right? Well let me help you with that thought process. You are who you set out to be, if you do nothing, say nothing well guess what you will end up nothing! However, if you wake up already to command your morning letting your day know that you’ve arrived and you are ready for nothing less than a great day. You have now set the cockpit of your mind into priority status “positive output”.

Remember what you put out is exactly what you will get in return. A guy of wisdom once said that, whatever you think and do in life your right! Meaning if you think wrong, wrong will come back to you, if you think right it will come back to you. This is the same way you must think while doing your business. After you have become a product of your product and have totally understood why you are doing what you are doing. You are on your way to having a positive outcome in your business and any other part of your life. If you want positive results, that starts with you! This happens when you line up your cockpit, your command center of thinking to only accept greatness. So when you come up against words like NO, not interested, that’s not for me, this is not real, it’s a scam, you’re never going to be success at this, you should’ve never quit your job. You will find this much easier to deal with, as a matter of fact it will feel like a duck and water, it will just roll off your back. This is because you will know without a shadow of a doubt that what you are doing in life at that time is the best thing that could ever happen and others will see the passion in you and let me tell you it’s catchy. As a matter of fact you want to be the contagious fragrance of success. So no doesn’t always mean no, it may mean I need more information, I was misinformed before, I never looked at it like this before, right now is not the time, but give me a few days. Those all are ok, it is not a sign of defeat. You just make sure that you have delivered enough good information for them to make an educated decision. The great thing about it is, they may not know that they really need your product until YOU arrived. So share with them why it can be an asset and not a liability in their life. Genuinely have compassion about their situation and or challenge and help them to overcome it if you can.

Remember lack of faith, shortcuts to success and no compassion for others brings the two letter word that most are afraid of. Become that networking professional that has mastered his or her talent to become the best they can be and turn that NO into KNOW more about how to bring out more of operation positive in your life which will result in more YES and I CANS.

To Your Absolute Success!

Get Business. Be Positive

In the world today, we know that there are many concerns from people going through downsizing of their jobs, to losing homes and financial woes from their investment portfolios. Not too long ago, maybe 20 years it seems like we were on the upward wave to a prosperous journey in life. The picture was much different with construction booming, stock markets seem that look to be performing without flaws and those employed seem to have a bright future with their company.

Though these times have changed, we still have the power from within to make these possibilities and dreams come true. Statistics show that of 100% there is 87% of negativity floating through our society today. This means about 1 out of 3 are carrying the “funk attitude”, the “if I can’t do it no one can” smell and the “why should I support you I’m not even successful” disposition. There’s a man that once said there only 9 or 10 people out here in the world like those described, they just move around a lot! Well you know that is very true because we have the power to change those attitudes and help others to realize that they are more important than they believe.

There's a Reason for Everything

We must realize that we are on this planet together for a reason. We’re here to help one another be a better person. If you are in someone’s life which you are if you wake up every morning walk outside your door and you actually speak to someone. You have the power to effect that person either positively or negatively, Let’s change those percentages said above to reflect 87% positive and only 13% the other thing.

Remember with a little faith and tenacity, taking it to the next level is who we are as a people, or should I say those that really want the best out of life. Service leads to greatness; I believe that everyone wants to add value to someone else’s life. To love yourself first and how you want to be treated will allow you by default to love someone else the same way and more. May it your best day, best week, best month and best year ever…. Start today and know you are an asset to yourself and others around you! If you can help enough people get what they want; you will get everything you want!

To your Success!

Do You Know Your Products Value?

So lets go a little deep today on assessing how customers view your products and services. You may have toiled over how to position and bring your products and services to market but how you view them may not be how your customers view or value them.

Make Them Saleable

Having your own testimony and interaction with your own products and services makes it easier to explain to your audience why they need your products and services. But what if you are launching something new or this is the first time you've launched your business? How do you create value for your business and it’s products and services? Definitely your enthusiasm should be high and overall you should be excited about what these products and services can do for your audience as well as how they may ultimately change their lives. If you’re confident and believe in your product, so will your prospective client.

GET BACK WHAT YOU PUT IN

Value Propositioning

Most of you may ponder on what your clients and potential customers read (or don’t read) when they look at your products and services features and benefits. Some of us might even write long summaries on how these products and services can help our clients but what we fail to do is realize that our audience may not have the patience to read our dissertation. The concept of value proposition can help.

Value proposition is an organizing model that helps you drill down the “promise of value” that can be delivered to a customer before, during, or after they experience your products and services. Any business can use it and utilizing a Value Proposition Builder can help you create a value proposition. Futurecurve.com has a diagram that organizes the six elements that lead directly to the creation of a compelling value proposition.

Here are the six stages to a value proposition analysis:

  1. Market
  2. Value Experience
  3. Offerings
  4. Benefits
  5. Alternatives and Differentiation
  6. Proof

In the end, your business should have a persuasive but enticing view of the value of your products and services that your customers will buy into. Remember to highlight the features and benefits a customer will experience with you as well as your products and services, simply state what you and your products/services can do, and what problems your business can solve or avoid for your customers.

Let’s Visualize Value Proposition

Hope this really helps you define your product and service value. What is your take-away from this?

The Expert in The Field: Tony Stark Didn’t Hesitate To Be The Expert

Be the Expert of What You Know

To truly become the expert at what you know means that you have mastered the skills and talents that the almighty gave you. It is your deep understanding of what trials and tribulations you may have endured to be at this place in your life as well as your career. To be the “expert” means that you have tested and figured out what works and what didn’t work and now you are prepared to share it with the world; those who need not repeat those mistakes that you did. One easy way to becoming an expert is to actively engage with your followers and potential clients. By spreading your expertise through blogging, creating newsletters, testimonials, and teaching your experiences of what worked and what didn’t work in your business helps to position yourself and your brand quickly online.

We all have our own strengths and weaknesses. Each varying in how good we’ve mastered those areas over another.

The Truth of the Matter

It is more likely that you have a passion about an experience you had within your industry that may have had your head turning. You are probably that person who figured out the problem and preserved on to the next challenge and never shared with anyone how you did it. Well guess what? You are the expert of taking that particular problem and solving it. You have a better understanding of how to overcome that situation and you need to write it down and share it with your peers.

People are more likely to stop and listen to what you have to say when you add “expert” to your business title. They will want your opinion and will try your strategies to success. They will want to buy your products and services especially when you are living proof that your solutions worked.

When you market yourself as an expert in your industry, other businesses and peers will want to meet with you and pick your brain. Some will even ask you to become partners with them and collaborate with you because you have mastered that problem, found solutions, and you are (in a sense) speaking their language.

Overall, becoming the expert in your field means people will pay more for your products and services. You are recognized as the “authority” of what you know. So stop dragging your heels and begin to sit down and pinpoint those areas of expertise you have mastered within your industry. Market your natural strengths and build up on your weaknesses by honing your skills through reading up on your industry, attend viable seminars, and find a mentor that is willing to bring out your hidden treasures. Your expertise will build a profitable business that benefits your potential clients, customers, and peers.

Fake it Until You Make It!

Be grateful for all you have. Your skills and your talents are yours alone. Don’t get caught up in the label “expert” because if you do it may put a halt on you moving forward in becoming one. Use the word as an empowering statement, a validation if you will. You are recognizing that you have something to offer to those in your field that could help them get to the next promotion, avoid mistakes, and save them some time and sweat-equity.

Natural-born Hustler: Some Call It Self-Promotion

As a self-employed business owner, it is hard to keep the "sales pitch" out of our daily conversation. The person pitching your products and services is YOU. Not the you who may have a hard time balancing your checking account, we’re talking about the “superpreneur” YOU! The YOU who knows their products and services inside and out, the YOU who probably got the idea about your products and services because of personal experience and needed these products to improve life for yourself. The YOU who had a life-changing moment after using these products and services.

You are the first visual representation of your brand. Most would consider you the brand of your business. Remember, when introducing your products and services to the world it should be a gradual process. Customer relations are no longer a short-term interaction. It is long-term meaning you are nurturing potential clients and building customer relationships while giving people a choice to buy from you. Think about your audience, your market, your customers and what you can bring to them as well as what you can do to improve their lives and truly serve them.  Here's a great example of an entrepreneur who utilized her passion and branded her business with not only her name, Sparkle Myer, but with answering the "needs" of her potential customers.

Avoid being aggressive, pushy, controversial and insulting. Being the self-promoter of your brand should be a walk-in-the-park since you are intertwined with your products and services everyday, but for some this is a scary thing. If you are hesitant about being the face of your brand the best advice is to not overthink it. Plan out your approach and think about your audience (what do they want and need?). Ask your audience how you can be of service and then answer their question(s) with the features and benefits of your products and services. More often than most, you have exactly what they want and they are ready to buy from you.

The 3 ideas superpreneur tips bring people to your brand:
  1. Give advice
  2. Write interesting stories or blog about how your products and services can help someone or inspire someone.
  3. Promote the work of other people and businesses that are similar or compliments to your business.

New Opportunities

Why Organo Gold?

In our great industry of network marketing and direct sells, we have so many products and companies to choose from in the health programs all the way down to computer technology. Team Pure Intent believes in researching and connecting with not only some of the best products in the industry, but ones that truly make a difference in people’s lives.

Organo Gold was added to this list because of its track record of having much success in its research of coffee, tea drinkers and connoisseurs of the product. This company has not just been found to be a “coffee company”, but also a nutritional based company. It found that since there are so many people that use this product on a regular base, how they could infuse healthier ingredients to allow people to enjoy this totally accepted product while also living a healthier lifestyle.

So ask yourself… Does Folgers, Nestle, Pampa, Lipton, Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts etc, pay you to either drink their coffee or tea or even promote it? Chances are unless you work for them the answer is a resounding NO. This is another reason why this is an ingenuous business model that has been designed.

This company not only has found a way to fuse two powerful products together that being coffee and the other being ganoderma, they have made a way for you to capitalize on the coffee industry. Now you may say you’re not a coffee drinker that should not stop you from learning and being able to share this product with someone that you know that does drink it, thus giving them a healthier alternative and being compensated for doing so. We believe in supporting those that have valuable information that will help aid in health and wealth. Organo Gold has been giving these opportunities successfully for the past five years. Furthermore, this company has produced more 7 figure plus a year members than any other direct sales and network marketing company worldwide.

A Powerful Fusion

Here at Team Pure Intent, we understand that it takes vision to go being the natural. Many companies and organizations before us have done a very good job at displaying these types of methodologies. You have Dunkin' Donuts that used to brand themselves as the number one seller in donuts. There is McDonald's that branded themselves with having the best fries and most delicious burgers and after you ate with the kids you could go to Ronald McDonald land. You had Subway that stood by the most healthiest way to eat was the famous turkey subs and let’s not forget Burger King, Have it your way.

Companies that have either changed their way of doing business or have fused to powerful concepts together.

Wouldn’t you know even though these companies among others tried to brand themselves as having the best in their respected industries, one this was for certain they were always looking for the next best thing. What was that you ask?

This was coffee!

If you notice today these companies have either changed how they do business, changed their names or even did both including spending millions of dollars updating their logos to reflect the next wave of their company. Why you ask? Good question!

Coffee has been around some say since the middle to late fifteen hundreds and has gone through many changes since then. This to date is the second highest traded commodity under oil sometimes trading higher than oil. Even though at one time coffee was banned from certain countries and religions, today it is safe to say that it is more widely excepted across more boarders than any other food or plant today.

As stated in one of our earlier articles that promotional items that anyone can appreciate is key to your success as well. Sending out greeting cards and gifts are one of the most powerful ways to show your gratitude towards someone. Coffee or tea given in most countries also is considered a true act of kindness. Imagine how someone would feel if they not only knew you were thinking about them, but also thinking about their health as well.

Team Pure Intent has stayed secure in its belief that there should be a wholeness to your way of life, thus meaning that not only should you always be sending gratitude out to your love ones, co-workers and friends, but also remember that keeping yourself in the know of what trends are taking place in the market place will also help reward you in many ways as well.

Send a card with some coffee or tea today! www.printstuffstamp.com and www.teampurecoffee.com

Fill My Cup

When you’re very busy building your business remember your health is important….

For some time now we’ve been talking about the importance of building your business by branding yourself, staying in front of your customers and clients and ensuring you are steadily becoming a product of your product. With that being said there is something that is as equally if not more important. That is staying healthy while building.

In this day and age people are moving much faster than they use to. Their schedules are much more involved and it seems like the days are short and the weeks are shorter. We must understand that while we do have more on or plate there is also a need to know that we must have the proper vitamins and nutrients to keep ourselves healthy and at the top of our game.

I’ve notice that there is one that that people will take, drink, talk about and do without even thinking about and that is coffee. I am not much of a coffee drinker myself, however it seems like this is something that is totally excepted no matter what industry you belong to.

As I started to study the different kinds of coffee, I notice that most people used this drink mostly to get their day started with a bit of caffeine or to stay awake because of studying or a project that needed to be finish by the next day. I also notice for others that it was the ideal social drink during meetings, opportunity sessions or just something to hold in their hand while socializing with others.

One thing that I can say, there are some coffee’s that have ingredients that will help aid in some form of nutrition and mental alertness.

This company is called Organo Gold. This company has been around for a few years and has made a huge impact on how people drink coffee. While most people would say they were only drinking coffee for the fore mention reasons, those were not the healthiest of reasons to fit. This company actually promotes “healthy coffee” which has ingredients that have helped in a positive mood, refreshing deep sleep, increased mental focus, it may help maintain healthy skin, lungs and urinary tract, it's been said that it supports healthy blood, and cholesterol levels, healthy liver function for body cleansing, and that, it maintains the brain oxygen level for a feeling of well-being.

If you are a coffee or tea drinker I encourage you to take a look at this product at www.teampurecoffee.com and read up on some of the great information this drink can offer you while you are out there continuing to build your business to the next level.

Happy De-Labor Day!

Are some of you asking, “what is labor day anyway?” Most of us equate it to a super sale at one of our favorite stores or the beginning of another school year but do we really know the significance of the celebrated day? Labor day is a celebrated day recognizing the labor movement of 1882, a street parade in New York’s union Square created to strengthen union workers and other organizations, and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country.

What does Labor Day signify for your business? For some it may just be another day because an entrepreneur can be the sales assistant, the manager, and the marketing rep all in one. Some might not even realize it is a holiday. I hope you are able to take a moment today and enjoy the fruits of your labor! I encourage you, if you are in the midst of sending out yet another follow up email, to stop and sip on some yummy tea or coffee and relax a bit. This should be a day of rest and relaxation for the laborer. A time to reflect on all your hard work, give yourself a pat on the back and just chill. Yes, tomorrow is never promised however, today is a PRESENT and let Team Pure Intent be the first to say Happy De-Labor Day!
